THE Company

Neoplastik GmbH is a company with a turbulent history that has been producing inner sleeves for records and packaging films for more than 50 years.

In 1987, 140 million inner sleeves were glued and six million tons of polyethylene film were blown. In the 1990s, the production of sleeves for records nearly came to a standstill because of the widespread use of CDs and later MP3s. In one affiliated company, the production was changed completely to injection moulding of CD cases.

Both the production of film and injection moulding of CD cases ended in bankruptcy. But not the production of inner sleeves for records. A machine from the 1960s survived these turbulent times and forms the heart of Neoplastik today. Following the renaissance of the analogue record in the past years, today the company focuses its efforts on the production of high-quality inner sleeves for records made of special papers with a polyethylene film lining. Since February 2014, the continued existence of Neoplastik GmbH is ensured by a legally binding insolvency plan, and on 30 June 2014 the seizure of property due to insolvency was annulled as scheduled.

Since 2009, Neoplastik GmbH is a part of the Ahrbach Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH.
